What it does
Media where shoppers decide
- Shoppers can upload photos up to 10 MB and videos in MP4 or WebM up to 100 MB from the review form.
- A review can include a YouTube link. It is shown as a click-to-load embed, so the player loads only when a shopper asks for it.
- The review widget can sort by Pictures first or Videos first, or show only reviews with pictures.
- The Photo and video carousel block puts media reviews on any page of your theme.
- When you edit a review in the admin, you can add files with the same size and type checks as storefront uploads.
Before you launch
Checks worth doing once
- Upload a full-size phone photo and a short video yourself to see how long it takes on a mobile connection.
- Look at how thumbnails crop in the widget and the carousel at phone width.
- Decide in advance what you do with media that shows faces, addresses or order details: hide the review, or edit its attachments before publishing.
- Attachments are on by default. Switch them off in Settings › Collection flow if you only want text.
