What does Sofcy Reviews do?
It collects product and store reviews (with photos and videos) and product questions on your Shopify store, lets you moderate and reply to them in one inbox, and shows them with storefront widgets such as a review widget, star badges, carousels and an all-reviews page.
Does it edit my theme code?
No. Every widget is a theme app block or app embed that you add and remove in the Shopify theme editor.
Which themes does it work with?
Themes that support app blocks, which includes current Shopify themes. Check the widget and the review form on your live theme, on desktop and on a phone, after installing.
Is there a limit on reviews?
No. Forever Free has no limit on reviews, review requests or widgets.
Can I import reviews from my current review app?
Yes. Upload the CSV export from your current app in Settings › Import reviews. Column names from common review apps are recognised, and a wizard maps any other spreadsheet.
How do review request emails work?
After an order is fulfilled or delivered and a delay you choose, the customer gets an email with star links that open the review form with that rating selected. You can add up to two reminders and give some products their own timing.
Can customers add photos and videos?
Yes. Photos up to 10 MB and MP4 or WebM videos up to 100 MB, plus YouTube links. You can switch attachments off.
Can I stop spam and abuse?
Yes. Spam, personal-information and profanity filters are on by default, you can add blocked terms, and auto-publish can hold reviews below a minimum rating for your approval.
Will reviews show as stars in Google?
Sofcy Reviews adds product review structured data to product pages, which makes them eligible for review stars. Google decides whether to show them. On Awesome you can also submit a product review feed to Google Merchant Center.
What does Awesome add?
Answering questions and FAQ blocks, custom email templates, coupon rewards for reviewers, the Google Shopping review feed and shared reviews for bundles. It costs $15 USD every 30 days after a 15-day free trial, billed by Shopify.
Which languages are supported?
The admin is in English. Storefront labels ship in English and French, and you can edit every label.
What customer data is stored?
Reviewer names, emails (stored encrypted), review content and media, and the order details needed for verified buyer labels and requests. Shopify's customer data request and erasure webhooks are supported. See the privacy policy for details.
